PIGMENT ANALYSIS
Méthodology

Before sampling, x-ray should be performed to determine restoration, and samples should be taken out of these areas.

Sampling : Samples are taken by a specialist who will look for the determining colours to be used for analysis, sampling is performed on 1 or 2 colours .

Analysis : Stratigraphic section of the sample, shooting under optical microscope and printing of a colour photograph.

Pictorial  coat analysis on  the stratigraphic section. Analysis is performed using a  JEOL  scanning electron microscope with a black and white shooting.


Spectral analysis is performed on the different mineral components of the pigments.
